Animal-Law in the Press

To top it all off, on 1 February 2006, the Christchurch newspaper, The Press, ran a front page article about the course entitled "When a pet project has a degree of interest". In addition to the interest shown in the course, there was readers were intrigued about the wee dog sitting next to me. I've been asked what breed she is on the off chance that people could get one like her - but she's a one-of-a-kind "pedigree bitzer", a combination of Terrier and Bichon Frise. She came home with me after we'd made friends at a veterinary hospital where she was looking for a home and I was doing a brief veterinary locum. Although she's fully grown and still small in stature, she's got a big heart and tons of character - so she is called "Texas"!
