March 30 - April 1 2007 was an incredible turnout of lawyers, academics, Directors, students, CEO's, and a host of other key people in the field of animal law.
The Future of Animal Law Conference, sponsored by the Animal Legal Defense Fund and the Harvard Student Animal Legal Defense Fund truely had some of the top minds in the field of animal law meeting to discuss cutting-edge legal strategies and issues from the USA and around the world in respect of animals and the law.
Dr Robertson spoke on the importance of developing a global model of animal welfare based on best practice. He referred to key organisations and developments who have key interests in this area, including, for example, the OIE who have planned a conference in Cairo in 2008 entitle "Global implementation of animal welfare standards".
He is pictured here with Professor Bernie Rollins, one of the leading academics in the animal welfare field, who was one of a number of key people at the conference.
