Animal welfare and the law - the role and liability of veterinarians in large animal practice

You may have already noticed the steadily increasing public and political attention to issues of animal welfare which is paralleled by increased interest and involvement of the law and lawyers. This obviously has pragmatic consequences for veterinarians and the veterinary profession whose public role and livelihoods are intimately connected with issues of animal welfare. The presenter (Ian Robertson, Director of International Animal Law) is a veterinarian by background who added a law degree and now works as a government prosecutor on animal welfare cases.
